This is a simple exercise you can run with your team to help articulate your brand voice. The rules are easy:
- Everyone ticks the box indicating where they think the brand should be (not where it is now). Note, there is no middle box, so you can’t sit on the fence!
- As the team ticks the boxes, ask them to also write a short sentence explaining why they made their choice.
- When everyone is finished, go around the room line by line, and ask everyone to share which box they ticked (one to four), and why.
- Take lots of notes!
The idea of the exercise is to develop the language you need to describe your brand voice. Everyone will have a different perspective, and there will hopefully be lots of discussion as a result.
