Andrew Horton of Surrey, UK last week tweeted a picture outside some posh flats in London. The hashtag #AntiHomelessSpikes has brought the world’s attention to the rather widespread ‘solution’ to stopping people who have absolutely nowhere to go from sleeping in the doorway of a million dollar apartment. The immediate uproar on Twitter was added to with photos of more elaborate and aesthetically pleasing (to the million dollar apartment owner, not the homeless) spikes in other parts of the world.
