We’ve recently launched our new training offering, where people can upskill in specific areas of social media depending on their needs. We’re already getting a bunch of questions so we thought writing down the answers in a blog post might be useful.

The new offering was in response to some market feedback on our Full Day training, where a few people were finding that they already knew 30% or even 50% of what we cover in a day.  We plan to continue our Full Day courses as they’ve proven very popular and helpful for a lot of people, plus they stitch a lot of related topics together nicely. And some people just love getting out of the office for an entire day!

The new social media training offering will be delivered in two hour modules and cost $299 plus gst per module ($249 plus gst each if you book two or more and $199 plus gst for any additional people you bring along ).

They will be very focused so people can pick and choose what they like depending on which areas they need to upskill in. At the same time, the modules will be bunched together, as in we’ll be running up to six different modules over a two day period – so people can still take a day or two out of the office if they wish!

Class sizes will be limited to eight, to ensure a good amount of attention from the tutors and as with our Full Day courses, people need to bring along their laptops and expect to do some work – learn by doing! We’ll be running the November courses as follows:

1. Social Media 101 – Nov 20th 10:00am – 12:00pm
Introduction to the popular social media platforms, their strengths, weaknesses and uses.

2. Facebook for Business – Nov 20th 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Set up and optimise a Facebook Page using publishing and engaging best practices.

3. Twitter for Business – Nov 20th 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Set up and optimise a profile, learn protocols and other tools such as Hootsuite.

4. Facebook Campaigns – Nov 21st 10:00am – 12:00pm
Learn how to run marketing campaigns that work, build awareness and grow your database.

5. Facebook Insights – Nov 21st 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Understand Page Insights, learn how to report on key metrics for your business.

6. Email Marketing – Nov 21st 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Get your database working using optimised email marketing techniques.

7. Facebook Advertising – Nov 27th 10:00am – 12:00pm
Set up an ad account, build and optimise an ad campaign and measure its success.

8. Google+ for Business – Nov 27th 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Set up and optimise a business page, use tools like Circles, video streaming and more.

9. LinkedIn for Business – Nov 27th 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Optimise your profile, engage with LinkedIn Groups and generate sales leads.

10. Pinterest for Business – Nov 28th 10:00am – 12:00pm
Set up and optimise a business account, learn how to pin, repin, engage and sell.
